We tasted some excellent Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noirs from Muns Vineyard.
Winemakers, Ed and Mary, poured their recently released 2013 Estate Pinot Noir, as well as a vertical tasting of earlier vintages of their delicious Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noirs and Syrah.

Muns Vineyard brushes the sky on the Loma Prieta ridge top at 2,600 feet above Los Gatos and Monterey Bay, the highest Pinot Noir vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

It was a great opportunity to taste a selection of Pinot Noirs from this high elevation vineyard, as well as their Rosé of Pinot Noir and estate Syrah.  Muns Vineyard Pinot Noirs are characterized by a distinctive flavor of (Burgundian) black cherry.
Their balance and complexity contribute to their age worthiness.
